It is observed on 11th November.Poppies have long since been associated with Remembrance Day, as a result of a poem by John McCrae "In Flanders Fields" - and it is an emblem chosen since it bloomed naturally across some of the major battle fields of France, symbolically marking the place where the wounded fell in battle. Charitable EffortsAny Remembrance Day event will be a sober(not literally!) and reflective time as people are reminded of those who lost their lives as aresult of war and conflicts. It is customary to sell, and for people to wear poppies, and this is an opportunity to run a charitable event, raising money for veterans. You could consider selling poppies to your customersand most would be only too happy to part with some small change for this worthwhile cause.Remembrance Sunday Pub QuizzesCheck out our selection of Remembrance Sunday quizzes and Remembrance Sunday Quiz Questions:
